چکیده

Cold-formed steel (CFS) channels with edge-stiffened web holes are widely used as flooring joists and bearers in industrial buildings their flanges fastened most cases. This prevents the rotation of increases crippling capacity. In literature, no information is available on capacity such CFS holes. study presents results 36 new tests which were conducted under support subjected to two-flange loading. For comparison, specimens hole un-stiffened also tested. Finite element (FE) models then developed validated against experimental results. Using FE models, an extensive parametric involving 912 was conducted. study, thickness, size holes, length bearing plate edge-stiffener varied. Test indicated that have higher ultimate than those unfastened flanges. case flanges, increased by 71% 33% for end-two-flange (ETF) interior-two-flange (ITF) loading, respectively. Finally, test compared design strengths predicted proposed equations Uzzaman et al. Numerical study of slotted web drilled flange moment frame connection

Beam connections with reduced drilled section and slotted web have been presented after the Northridge earthquake (1994). Their new geometrical shapes have been resulted in weakening of beams and subsequently the bette rperformance of connections in the earthquakes. In this research, the advantages of both connections, mentioned above, have been studied in the Slotted Web Drilled Flange (SWDF) ...

Optimization of infinite composite plates with quasi-triangular holes under in-plane loading

This study used particle swarm optimization (PSO) to determine the optimal values of effective design variables acting on the stress distribution around a quasi-triangular hole in an infinite orthotropic plate. These parameters were load angle, hole orientation, bluntness, fiber angle, and material properties, which were ascertained on the basis of an analytical method used by Lekhnitskii [3]. ...

Analyzing new features of infected web content in detection of malicious web pages

Recent improvements in web standards and technologies enable the attackers to hide and obfuscate infectious codes with new methods and thus escaping the security filters. In this paper, we study the application of machine learning techniques in detecting malicious web pages. In order to detect malicious web pages, we propose and analyze a novel set of features including HTML, JavaScript (jQuery...

The Plain Web

The Web has become a popular starting point for many innovations targeting infrastructure, services, and applications. One of the challenges of today’s vast Web landscape is to monitor ongoing developments, put them into context, and assess their chances of success. One of the main virtues of a more scientific approach towards the Web landscape would be a clear differentiation between approache...

Performance of Stiffened Slender Built up Steel I-Columns

Abstract—The present work illustrates a parametric study for the effect of stiffeners on the performance of slender built up steel Icolumns. To achieve the desired analysis, finite element technique is used to develop nonlinear three-dimensional models representing the investigated columns. The finite element program (ANSYS 13.0) is used as a calculation tool for the necessary nonlinear analysi...
